I had to do my own wash it was really scary but I followed a video they sent me after I left. The back is a bit tender and still looks swollen but it doesn’t hurt.

After thinking about hair transplant after many years, finally found the best one in Turkey, Dr. Hakan Clinic. Natural hairline was the most important thing for me. Painless procedure with a kind and experienced team. Thanks a lot to Dr. Hakan and his assistant Mr. Koray for the excellent service. If anyone is looking for a successful hair transplant, I recommend Dr. Hakan Clinic.

What are your thoughts? I had a hair transplant exactly 6 weeks ago in Istanbul, with Dr. Hakan. 4500 Grafts but I will need a second transplant on the upper/back area of my scalp. I‘m also taking three times a week 1,25mg Finasteride each. Appreciate your feedback :)

Been feeling a bit worried about density but I guess it’s one month in and I’ve researched and read so much that this is temporary around this time so making myself be optimistic about where I am at. I picked this clinic cause on Instagram they have such amazing hairlines can’t wait to be 8 months into it and see results :)

I spent a long time researching various places in Istanbul to get a hair transplant. I then contacted about four or five different places in Istanbul via wattsapp. Each company were very similar apart from the Dr Hakan Clinic. When I had contacted the other comanies they were very direct, wanted pictures of my head almost immediately and responded within 30 minutes to let me know how many grafts I needed, how much money it would cost etc. They then proceeded to ask me immediately when could I come over and get booked in. First of all I was thinking surely a surgeon hasn't looked at photos of my head and made a detailed analysis in that time. And why are they so keen for me to book a flight straight away. Speaking with Koray at the Dr Hakan Clinic I had the complete opposite experience. He was so helful in answering all questions I had to ask over a number of days. He never once asked any questions that were pressuring and only until I was finished asking all questions did we then proceed to send photos of my head. After about 3 days or so Koray got back to me letting me know Dr Hakans analysis of what my procedure would entail. He let me know how many grafts, what the shape of my new hairline etc would look like. I then went back and forth with him asking alot more questions over the next few days. Again, not once was I ever pressured to book a flight or book the hair transplant. Once I was happy, I asked if I could pencil in a date for both me and my dad as we wanted to get one done on the same day. Another big factor of me choosing Dr Hakan is that they only do two surgeries a day. Which I always thought you would get better care and actually get your hair transplant done by a medically trained surgeon. Which some of the other companies you see doing 50 to 100 procedures a day you won't recieve that bespoke care. Me and my dad travelled from Manchester to Istanbul where we were greeted by a driver that the Dr Hakan Clinic had arranged for us. The driver then took us to our accomodation which was Marriot appartments, in the same building as the surgery. The apartments were beautiful and had everything you need and highly recommend anyone booking them when given the two accomodation options. Day 1 - Stem cell treatment for myself. I recieved excellent care from all the staff there. Especially after I feinted getting my bloods done haha! The whole treatment was great and nowhere near as painful as I thought it would be! Day 2 - We were booked in for our surgery at 7:10am which was the same time as the stemcell treatment the day before. I was keen to learn from my mistakes the previous day and woke up alot earlier to get a good intake of food and water on board. We went to the surgery and met Dr hakan, Koray and the team at 7:10am. We firstly got our bloods taken from the nurse which was all routine and perfectly fine. We then got alot of pictures taken and then afterwards got our heads shaved. From there we sat in with Dr Hakan and Koray to which they designed our new hairlines to a really quality natural look. Once we were happy we then proceeded to the operating theatre. I firstly lay on my stomach where the numbing needles where applied to the back of my head. The numbing needles do hurt a bit but nothing you cant handle!! The extraction took 3 hours and the implanting around 4 to 5 hours! I was comfortable throughout the whole thing. The doctor contructed the hairline and his team followed on with the back filling. Koray and the doctor were constantly popping in and out to see if I was ok. The whole team was brilliant and I felt in great care the whole time. Day 3 - We went back the next day for bandage removal. Again the care we recieved was second to none and I cant praise the doctor and his team enough from start to finish. We then got given all of our aftercare stuff we needed. They demonstrated everything we needed to do along with giving us tutorial videos. It was a five star experience throughout the whole thing to which we felt very comfortable all the way! I would recommend Dr Hakan and his team to everyone. I thought about it for a long time and now that I have done it can only think why didn't I do it earlier with the experience I have had with Dr Hakan! Looking forward to the results!!!

Let me start with the most important thing ... the final result. I had my surgery in June 2023, and it's now March 2024. Nine months have passed, and I am more than excited about the result. I had 3600 grafts implanted at the front and temples, and it looks really great. The shape of the hairline looks natural and the spacing and angle of the individual hairs are good. I'm blond and have very fine hair - and I was told that I didn't have as many double and triple grafts as people with thicker hair, but that doesn't seem to have made a difference for the result. My hairdresser (who's French and gay haha) thinks it's turned out really well. So I take that as a compliment. As for my time in Istanbul, I have noting put praise for the team. Dr Hakan and Koray Gur, his assistant, were very friendly and always made me feel safe and comfortable. The team who did the actual surgery were all very professional too. I'm not going to lie, parts of the 7 hour surgery were painful ... especially the anaesthetic. But all worth it in the end. The team also supplied medication for the healing period, as well as Finasteride for 9 months. I did the package with 4 nights at a top hotel + the aftercare package with shampoos and serums etc. I don't know if the care package was strictly necessary. You can find equally good products individually, but it was good not having to think about it. It was great having 4 nights in Istanbul. I never felt rushed, and felt I had time to heal. I didn't leave the hotel after the surgery (it was summer and very hot). But room service was great, and there was a shopping centre in the basement of the hotel. The followup has also been beyond expectations. Koray has been available on WhatsApp whenever I needed him over the last 9 months to answer questions. He's also reached out now and then to check the progress. It was especially nice to have his support through the first few weeks and months when you shed the hair, and it all feels a bit scary. I did several months of research before I chose Dr Hakan and chose him from a shortlist of around 10 clinics. His focus on natural looking hairlines, as well as the overall package were the some of the deciding factors. I came across the clinic here, so I hope my review can be helpful for others.

First off, the clinic arranged for my pick-up from the airport, which set the tone for the seamless service that followed. One of my main concerns was the ease of getting to and from the clinic, but this was taken care of beautifully—Dr. Hakan’s clinic is conveniently located in the same building as the Marriott Executive Apartments Istanbul Fulya, where I stayed. This hotel was fantastic—great staff, an amazing atmosphere, and a prime location. But the best part was that it’s right in the same building as the clinic! This made it incredibly easy for me to attend follow-up appointments and post-surgery care sessions without needing to worry about taxis or transportation. The hair transplant staff at the clinic was wonderful. While not all of them spoke English, the main contact person did, and they were very helpful throughout the entire process. I stayed in Istanbul for two weeks, and during that time, the clinic took excellent care of me. They handled all of my post-surgery care, including washing my head daily until day 10 and helping with the removal of scabs. By the time I flew back, my head looked great—no signs of an open wound, which made the journey home much more comfortable. If you're considering getting a hair transplant in Canada or the US but are hesitant to try one in Turkey due to some horror stories you've heard, I can confidently say you won't regret choosing Dr. Hakan Clinic. For a fraction of the price you'd pay in Canada, you can experience a first-class treatment: from the flight to the hotel, and most importantly, the hair transplant itself. I’m writing this review 8 months post-surgery because I wanted to wait until my results were in, and I couldn't be happier. I now have a full head of hair that looks completely natural. Hello, I am from Germany, 52 years old and have been suffering from hair loss for decades. After a long period of research, I decided to consult the hair expert (Clemens Weber). He accompanied me in my search for the right clinic, stay and care. Which worked out excellently! But now to the actual assessment of the Dr. Hakan Clinic. Why Dr. Haken? Because I had several doctors to choose from. I had looked at pictures and I liked them very much. Dr. Hakan and his team gave me a sense of security from the very first minute. A natural hairline was extremely important to me because I wanted to avoid a reaction like "look he had a HT" and I have seen some accidents at Istanbul airport! The team and Dr. Hakan took a lot of time before and during the procedure to fulfill this wish. There was a preliminary examination and my heart, blood pressure and condition were also checked during the operation. The team carried out the operation, while Dr. Hakan was very often present to check on me and the team and their work. During the operation, I was asked very often by the team and Dr. Hakan whether everything was OK. As I was going to have up to 5000 grafts, I decided to have two days of surgery. Which, by the way, should also go into a super session on one day. I felt a little weaker on the second day and this was also taken into consideration. In the end, 5300 grafts were transplanted! Of course, I can't say anything about the result after a week, but I'm really very satisfied with Dr. Hakan's clinic. Even after the operation, Dr. Hakan and Mr. Weber are always on hand with help and advice. I would use the clinic again at any time and can only recommend it in terms of service. I am a 40 years old Italian man. I have performed a mega session with over 6000 grafts in two days at the Hackan clinic on January 2024. I couldnt have chosen a better clinic. My case was not an easy one as I was an advanced nordwood 5, almost 6. After one year I can say I am very satisfied. They have been able to cover the whole area with natural and cautelative hairline in line with my age and with an overall good density. I was worried about my donor given the huge amount of grafts, I also experienced some shock lossbut it recovered perfectly and it doesn't look that so many grafts have been extracted . Actually it seems I have still have donor capacity for future needs. All the procedure was painless apart form the anesthesia procedure which was a little painful but ok at the end. The team was great and koray and Dr Hackan were carefully following each phase of the surgery. The clinic performs max two surgery a day and I went with a friend of mine who also performed a two days mega session . He is satisfied as well and we are suggesting this clinic to other friends.
