Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)·3,000 Grafts·No Shave Fue
My Experience at Esthetic Hair Mexico – Cancún I rarely write long reviews, but this experience deserves to be documented in detail so others don’t go through what I did. Other ‘5 star’ reviews are padded and bots. I followed every instruction, documented everything, and was patient for over a year. In return, I received an unnatural, “pluggy” hairline, large empty patches, evasive answers, and a push to pay another for “whatever grafts we can do.” Logistics were sloppy (late driver, sketchy hotel, microwaved sandwich for “lunch”). During implantation, glass broke in the operating room; I was never told what it was. I was shuffled across four WhatsApp numbers, ghosted for weeks at a time, and met with contradictions. In my opinion, they do not honor their 90% regrowth guarantee. Many of the glowing 5-star reviews are clearly fake/bot-written. ⸻ What was promised vs. reality I paid for maximum grafts + hotel + transportation + lunch. What I got: • Transportation: Driver late nearly every time, sometimes an hour. Excuse was always “we only have one driver.” • Hotel: Low-grade, in a sketchy neighborhood, far below what you’d expect even for a budget stay. • Lunch: Literally a microwaved cheese sandwich. • Departure day: They nearly made me miss my flight. Driver was late, rushed my shampoo, and even stopped to pick up another client on the way. ⸻ Surgery itself On June 17, 2024, while face down during implantation, glass shattered on a tray. The doctor wasn’t in the room. An assistant left, returned, and repeated “It is ok sir.” To this day, no one has told me what broke—PRP? grafts? antiseptic? Ms. Helin (their Cancún “manager”) brushed it off with: “If something doesn’t turn out, we will fix it.” ⸻ Results • Hairline: Straight and “pluggy,” not natural. • Growth: Patches never sprouted. • Beard: Spotty, plastic-doll-like. • Independent opinion (Bosley, Minneapolis): Doubt I ever received the “maximum grafts” they claimed. ⸻ Follow-up & guarantee For the first 6 months, responses were slow but existed. After that: ghosting, contradictions, and excuses (no power for days, manager in Türkiye, etc.). I often waited days or weeks for answers. They even asked me at month 8 when I planned to come in for my transplant—I had already had it and was sending the monthly photos their own contract required. When pressed, I was told: “No graft count. No treatment plan. No written guarantee. Just “pay again.” ⸻ Compliance on my part I honored every part of my contract: • Sent monthly photos on time. • Followed aftercare (saline, no shaving/dye/cuts until allowed). • Took minoxidil, finasteride, biotin, and used a laser cap when instructed. I preserved all WhatsApp chats, voicemails, and call logs. They show long silences, missed appointments, and canned replies like: “If everything is going well we don’t respond.” ⸻ What I learned This clinic runs on a pattern: 1. Advertise a “special deal” year-round. 2. Deliver low-end logistics and vague promises. 3. Stall communication until the one-year mark (long after U.S. bank dispute windows close). 4. Push a second procedure for thousands more. 5. Cover it all with glowing bot reviews to drown out complaints. ⸻ Final verdict I wanted to leave a positive review. I gave them every chance. Instead, I was left with poor results, ghosting, broken promises, and an upsell. If you’re considering Esthetic Hair Mexico – Cancún: don’t be fooled by the “special deals” or “guarantees.” Get every promise in writing, expect bare-bones logistics, and be aware most of their 5-star reviews are fake. I cannot recommend this clinic. (I have full proof: dated photos, WhatsApp conversations across four threads, voicemails, and call logs. Happy to share with anyone researching.)
