Seven days out from 3800 FUE transplant and thought I'd post a quick review and update. The TLDR: pretty happy with the experience so far, but did see and experience some questionable treatment. I picked Vera following some good reports on here and seeing some decent YouTube reviews. My reasons were influenced by price and timeline: I'm getting married next year so wanted the results bedded in for then, and I 'm also saving to pay for that too. If I'd had more time on my side, or money, I'd likely have opted for Dr Juan Couto (Spain) or Dr Feddy (London) based on their results with similar hairlines. Photos attached from day of treatment to day seven (today). The Dr invovled in the hairline design was Saim Nedim. I actually wasn't rushed through the hairline process, which was a surprise. Their team spent a while having me move forehead musces around and drawing / redrawing until we were mutually happy. He wasn't involved in the procuredure itself. That was an anaesthetist for the shots (which hurt like a bitch, 9/10 pain IMO) and two technicians, as expected. Pros Great comms throughout over Whatsapp, before departure and during Transfers, 5 * hotel etc all pretty faultless Enabled me to pay in advance at no extra cost, rather than travelling with a wad of cash - at my request As mentioned, didn't feel rushed during the hairline drawing which I've heard can be an issue with the high puthrough clinics Oxyucure therapy afterwards was in a clean, modern and purpose built Vera facility Cons Fairly hard push on supplements immediately post surgery when you're feeling tired and just want to get out of there. I held my ground but can see why people just buy them Ditto push on their topical finasteride at $650 for the year. Main issue was with the assertation 'topical has no side effects at all', which is unequivocally not true - lower incidence of sides would be acceptable. Doubt you'd see that statement in the UK or US due to regulatory adherence Anaesthesia started to run out towards the end. I asked how long and was told 15 mins and that it was best to just grit my teeth, rather than have more injections. It was another 45 mins. Less than impressed with that. One a final con, which I'm including as separate for balance as it wasn't my direct experience, was how another guy was treated while I was there. He'd been quoted 4000 grafts and on examination they said he’d need 7000, to split it over two days and to pay an additional fee. He’d been told it was impossible / dangerous to do 7000 graftrs in one day. When he told them he was going to leave it altogether, the room filled up with people and all of a sudden a different doctor had decided they could do the 7000 in the day. Unsurprisingly he decided to leave it and went home without a transplant. On day seven I seem to be healing up well. Aftercare has been bepanthem cream (from Vera) and Panthenoal cooling foam (on advice from another person – this has been great). No meds yet but plan to start Mix and Fin 0.01 homebrew topical (pills dissolved into liquid) in two weeks’ time. Will post update pics in due course.

With a heavy heart, I share today my personal chronicle of despair experienced at Vera Clinic in Istanbul. At first glance, it seemed like I had found a sanctuary for my troubled hair, but reality quickly transformed into the shadow of sorrow and disappointment. I entered the seemingly illustrious doors of this clinic with the hope that my hair would come back to life. Instead, I witnessed the merciless downfall of my dreams. In a few hurried minutes, I was entrusted to the hands of technicians, claiming to be professionals, and Dr. Gökhan Vayni was opening the channels. After investing not only money but also my trust, the results were devastating. Out of 4800 transplanted grafts, only a few lost strands remained. The survival of my new beginning disappeared as quickly as I was led out of the operating room. Looking in the mirror now shows me not only my physical reflection but also the reflection of lost opportunities and shattered dreams. The once-promising certificate of guarantee now feels like cynical irony. I was even recommended to take Finasteride 1mg for five months. Really? In my forties, when the effectiveness of this chemical mixture diminishes, I should be treated this way? And all without the supervision of a doctor, of course. My money was lost, and my hopes were thwarted. Particularly painful is the realization that I am not alone. I am just one of many who were led through this clinic like on a conveyor belt. Lost hope and a heart shattered into pieces are now my daily companions. Despite my dark experiences, I must give credit to Mirela, the contact person from Vera Clinic. Her communication was always fantastic, even though the results of the surgery were bitter. This cautionary tale is not just a cry into the void but an honest warning for those considering a journey to Vera Clinic in Istanbul. My story is not isolated, and if anyone is going through a similar dark period, please leave a review. Perhaps together, we can find the strength to rise from the ashes and warn others of the seemingly promising yet destructive path of Vera Clinic.

Tomorrow will be six months since the transplant. Had my first haircut at a barber in around two years yesterday. As detailed in my previous post, I've been clipper shaving since week three and only started growing it out seven weeks ago. Pretty happy with the progress, although hoping it continues to thicken up over the next six months. Not on any meds. Some of the reservations about Vera I outlined in my first post notwithstanding, I'd still recommend the clinic.

As I was approaching my 58th Birthday my wife asked me which country shall we visit to celebrate the occasion. I replied that I needed a little bit of time to check my work schedule and appointments. Realising that I had around two and half weeks before my next set of big meetings and social events I decided to do something for myself. That evening before leaving office I started to do a bit of searching on the internet about hair transplant, which countries and which clinics offer the best services. It did not take me long to realise that Vera Clinic in Istanbul was a serious contender. So i filled in the online form on their website. Instantly I was contacted via whatsup where I answered a number of simple questions such as age, weight, height, medication etc. I also send them a couple of photos. Barely two hours later I received a detailed proposal of how many grafts would be transplanted and where, details of the procedure, accommodation arrangements spread on four days and the price. A few days later, my wife and I landed in Istanbul where we were picked up by a limousine and driven to a five start hotel close to the clinic. The following day at 7:30 we were again picked up by the driver and taken to the clinic. The clinic itself is very modern and welcoming and it also has a n own Starbucks coffee inside the reception area. After the registration I met the medical team who carried out a medical consultation and checkup, took blood test and checked my ECG. Once I was given the green light, my hair was shaved and I was directed to the actual clinic where I was first given local anesthetic in the skull. For the next hour and half I sat face down on a medical bed where my hair follicles where gently uprooted from the harvest area at the back of my head close to the neck. After a brief break where I was offered water and a sandwich, the transplanting procedure took place. Sitting in an inclined position facing upwards, two of the medical team patiently transplanted the hair follices for the next two hours and half. Once the procedure was complete and my head covered, I was driven back to the hotel by the limousine. The following day we were at the clinic around nine thirty. The first hour was spent inside the hyperbaric chamber breathing pure oxygen to facilitate recovery. This was followed by a laser treatment and a hairwash. After a brief meeting on how to look after my hair following the procedure, I received a certificate together with a bag of hair care products. By early afternoon I was back at the hotel and a day later I flew back home. The whole experience was very enjoyable and highly professional. Since coming back I received regular feedback on the progress and even though I had the procedure barely three weeks ago, I am very pleased with the results so far. I definitely recommend Vera Clinic to persons considering a Hair Transplant.

Vera Clinic literally saved my trip to Turkiye from being a total disaster! I had originally scheduled with another, small clinic to do the HT procedure. Upon arriving to that clinic, after 23+ hrs of travel, lots of effort and expenses, the Dr there decided he didn't want to do the procedure because I had had previous open heart surgery. Of course, this had all been disclosed, and I had been tested and cleared by my cardiologist as not an additional risk (at the request of that clinic). I went back to my hotel, completely deflated. While in my hotel, I decided to call Vera Clinic, who I had also vetted as a good potential choice, to see if I could get a consultation to see what their doctors thought about my eligibility to have a HT. I got there mid afternoon, discussed my health situation and experience I had with the first clinic, and showed my cardiac clearance and test results with one of their doctors. They asked if I would let them perform an EKG, and I agreed. The doctor assured me I was fit to have a HT. Then they did something that totally blew me away. My coordinator/translator (fantastic woman!), asked if I would mind sitting for a few minutes while she talked with her colleagues. She came back shortly, and asked "Would you like to save your trip and have the procedure done today? I have got a team together and they are willing to stay late if you want to be able to keep your planned flights back home [in a couple of days]". I was ecstatic, and of course, accepted. I was prepped, and began the procedure at about 3pm and the team worked until about 9:30pm that night to complete the job! Vera Clinic had saved the day! And the trip! This experience most others traveling to have a HT procedure don't get to have... to be able to witness first hand two different clinics, their facilities, staff, business operations and, of course, the actual HT process. And let me tell you, I am SOOOO glad I had that opportunity! Comparatively, Vera Clinic's staff was so much more professional, their business practice and process was flawless, and the facilities were impeccably CLEAN and sanitary!!! (that was a huge difference from what I experienced at the first clinic). They were also able to do more grafts than the first clinic offered, so that was just icing on the cake. Vera Clinic did not have to do that extra effort they did to accommodate me, but they did, and that to me says tremendous customer service... much more so than I would ever expect to get from a medical facility in the US! So, YES, YES, YES! I would wholeheartedly recommend Vera Clinic as an ideal choice for your Hair Transplant needs.

I am going home tomorrow after a fantastic experience with Stem Cell and Hair Transplant Surgery. Upfront:100% recommend to anyone serious about this procedure! I knew the surgery was right for me but I chose Vera after an internet search showed that it was in the top 10. After submitting the inquiry, Muhamad Khair, reached out to me through iMessage (but WhatsApp is also an option) and walked me through the process. He was superb in support and never pushy. Extremely helpful throughout! Once you make the decision to execute, you acknowledge your commitment by booking the airfare to Istanbul and then Vera sends you information on how to submit a deposit (down payment) and you wait for travel. This is the scariest part for Americans but it is legit. If you aren’t comfortable with wire transfer, credit cards are accepted but Vera charges a fee. I recommend paying the remaining balance in cash. This is totally normal and not unusual. Don’t expect to get a lot (or any) administrative details until just before you travel. To be honest that is the only downside of Vera. However, it is a very efficient and smooth execution. They pick you up from the airport and take you to an excellent hotel. The hotel exceeded my expectations and was high quality! It was my first time for the treatment and I went all in with Stem Cell Surgery, Hair Transplant, and 6 months supply of shampoo, vitamins, etc. However, there were several returning patients who also bought the shampoos so I felt vindicated in that decision! The Stem Cell Surgery was painless and had I planned better could have integrated Istanbul sightseeing for the day after’s recovery session. The actual transplant procedure was also very similar but a little more uncomfortable towards the end but not painful. I had 4150 graphs and it lasted about 6 hours with a ~30 minute break for lunch in the middle. The day after surgery was spectacular and there wasn’t a single patient that met over the 5 days that had a bad experience or were not totally pleased with their experience. I plan to come back in a year to get the rest of my head completed!

Overall, we had a 5-star experience and are extremely satisfied with the service and care provided by Vera Clinic. We highly recommend them to anyone considering a hair transplant in Turkey. They truly made the entire journey smooth, comforting, and professional.

The place looked brand new — modern, spotless, and maintained to an exceptional standard. All the staff and medical team were extremely professional and well turned out, which gave me complete confidence from the start. I followed all of their aftercare advice and had no side effects, no swelling, and absolutely no complaints about the procedure or the service. The only thing I found myself worrying about was the return flight home — there were a lot of people travelling back after their procedures. But honestly, it became almost comforting; other guys would just give you a nod of recognition, which was endearing and made the experience feel shared. Now it’s just a waiting game for the growth and density to come in, which typically takes around 3–12 months — but based on how good everything has been so far, I’m feeling really positive. If you’re considering a hair transplant, I couldn’t recommend Vera Clinic more!

I visited Vera Clinic for a hair transplant and, while the staff was polite and the process was smooth, my overall experience has been mixed. I had a 4000-graft procedure and expected a noticeable improvement in density, especially in the frontal and mid-scalp areas. Unfortunately, even after 12 months, the results have fallen short of what is typically expected from a procedure of this size. Under normal lighting, the scalp visibility is still quite prominent. The clinic did respond when I raised my concerns, but the explanations given didn’t fully address the lack of density I’m seeing. Considering their stated revision policy, I had hoped for a more proactive or solution-oriented approach. While some improvement is visible compared to before the procedure, the outcome has not met the expectations communicated to me at the start. I hope the clinic continues improving post-procedure support so future patients receive clearer guidance and more consistent results.

I couldn’t be more satisfied with the care, attention, and results I received using Vera Clinic. I received my transplant in April of 2025 and though I had expected it to turn out well, I didn’t expect it to turn out as well as it did. From the initial consultation to having everything taken care of including transportation and hotel as part of the package, I felt very comfortable and cared for. The cost was reasonable and I felt I was in good hands at all times. I opted for the stem cell treatment so I wish I could tell whether or not that was effective or worth it but I don’t regret it. I am also glad I opted for sedation during the procedure. I am so grateful to the doctors and assistants there, especially Merve Tolu and Beyza Can. I would highly recommend anyone who is considering a transplant to use Vera Clinic.

I had my hair transplant done December 11th at the VeraClinic. I had accompanied my friend 11/2023 when he got his hair done. Since then the location has changed to a bigger and impressive facility which gives trust in the process. I did not really research a lot of clinics as the results of my friend are very good. The whole process was very good. Air port pickup, great hotel with wellness area and real gym which unluckily I could only use the day before the surgery. I have nothing to improve. I am on day 26 and for now I am in the shedding phase which is very frustrating since I was very happy to see all the new hair after the crust was gone. I am very much looking forward to see the new hair grow again in a few weeks.

The contact before, during and after treatment is on the HIGHEST level. The Clinic did a transportation for us through the whole time of treatment and also picked us up from the airport. Cara very clean and comfortable. The clinic is very modern and clean. Appointments with doctors and clear instructions. The transplantation procedure went very well and comfortable. Also after transplantation was done they have washed the head and use the red light therapy as well show and instruct how to wash the head. Moreover VeraClinic supply with cushion for sleep and hat to weaer to protect the head. I highly recommend!

I’m writing this review 10 days after my surgery on 27th December 2025. Cannot fault the service, transfers to and from the airport both to the hotel and back and forth from the clinic. Pick up times all communicated via WhatsApp so always kept informed. Clinic is immaculate, they keep you informed throughout the process and I’m really happy with how it is healing. So pleased I went ahead with Vera Clinic and felt in very competent, safe hands. Post op communication is great too as they still keep in touch via WhatsApp and request photos of my head to ensure all is well. Cannot fault it

The whole package was great. From the pickup at the airport, the logistics were on time and I did not have to stress of how to get from one place to another (both airport and the clinic). Hotel was of great quality with breakfast included. The procedure was smooth and quick, which took in total of 6h to get 4000 graphs for a fresh new hairline. Very happy with the whole process.Might need another visit to the clinic to finish the whole head of hair, and would definitely come back. If someone would be asking for a recommendation, would definitely suggest Vera Clinic!
