Hey! I am 3 months + 1week post DHI. I lost most of my hair when i was about 22-23 years old, i am now 30. Been on finasteride 1.25 MG each day for 7 years, + Ketakanozol Shampoo. 3 Sessions PRP before HT. Next 6 month will be exciting!

I am writing this review one week after having had the procedure done. I became comfortable with the idea of travelling to Turkey from the US for a hair transplant after a couple of friends did it, with good experience and results. I looked at the clinics they went to, but ultimately decided to go with Serkan Aygin after doing my own research. All the communication us done via Whatsapp. This may be a little disconcerting for some, but I was fine with it. After my initial outreach, all messages were responded to within around 24 hours. Given the time zone difference, I was happy with this. Katre was the person helping me and she was great. I sent in photos for the initial evaluation and was told I would need 3,400 grafts, though if on arrival in Turkey it was determined I would need more or less, the price quoted would not change. On arrival in Istanbul you are given instructions to meet your driver. You go to what is really an area where there are lots of people waiting who are managers for transport. Once I found my guy, I waited about 10 minutes before my actual driver picked me up. I was taken to the hotel in a private sprinter van. If you plan on doing any sightseeing, you need to go some days ahead of your procedure. I did this, and was glad I did so that I got to see some of istanbul. The day before the procedure you go to the clinic for the consultation. I was informed by Whatsapp the day before what time I would be collected. The clinic is large, modern and quite impressive. I met with Katre and Dr Serkhan, who drew on my head and determined I needed 1,000 more grafts than was determined previously. I met with Dr Serkhan for no more than 3-5 minutes, but I had expected that this interaction would be short. I then completed the necessary blood tests and an analysis of the donor area to ensure the quality of the grafts. I was never actually told the outcome of these tests, but assume everything was fine as the procedure went ahead the following day. The night before the procedure, I was told my pick up time would be 645am and not to eat breakfast. On arrival at the clinic I was taken quickly for some initial steps - changing the clothes, shaving the head. I was then taken to the procedure room and met with the team of four who were working on me. My procedure lasted from about 745am until 530pm. They give you sedation and local anesthesia. My team was very nice and professional, regularly checking on me to see if I was comfortable and administering more local anesthesia if I was not. I think I had a 20 minute or so break for lunch and one other bathroom break. I forgot to mention that all this time I was accompanied and being regularly checked on by a fluent English speaking handler. Though the team working on me did speak enough English for us to communicate as well. Before they being implanting the extracted grafts, the doctor comes and again draws the correct line on your head. It was not Dr Serkhan this time. The doctor spent quite a lot of time with the team perfecting the time and I felt good about this. After the procedure you go for a light meal in the clinic cafe before being taken back to the hotel. You have a bandage over your donor area and they give you a neck pillow and various medications. The next day I was taken back to the clinic, the bandage was removed, my head washed and I received some red light therapy. Then you have the option to buy one or two of their post procedure hair treatment kits, in addition to the shampoo and lotion they give you for the immediate aftercare. Both hair kits total about an extra the price I paid FYI. I decided to buy them both, but others did not. The next day I was taken to the airport for departure. Although I wait to see the results over the coming months and year, I felt this was a good experience: - The communication for me was good, and they have continued to communicate with me promptly when I have contacted them with aftercare questions; - The clinic is modern, clean, state of the art; - Everyone I dealt with was very professional and kind. A few minor quibbles: - The Ibis hotel they use is just ok. I would suggest offering an upgraded hotel option; - The extra the price I paid for the hair kits was something of a surprise additional expense. They might think about making it at least an option to buy this ahead of time s an advance add on to the upfront cost; - The team that worked on me were extremely nice, but nobody told me their name when I arrived at the room. Perhaps they thought that the patient does not care to know our names, but personally I would have liked them to introduce themselves as I was spending about 9 hours with them working on me. The worst part of this experience has been trying to sleep during the first week. You have to sleep somewhat upright using a neck pillow and this is uncomfortable either or both on the back of the head and neck.

⚠️ BEWARE: “Bait-and-Switch” Tactics at Dr Serkan Aygın Clinic a Volume Factory Trading on His Name ⚠️ I’m posting this to warn anyone considering Dr Serkan Aygın Clinic before you book or send money. I booked what was clearly advertised as a Sapphire FUE package, after being explicitly assured that Dr Serkan Aygın himself would see me in person and oversee the transplant. Nowhere, not in the brochure, not in any message, did it say the deposit would be used for a hotel or transfer. Those items are already listed as included in the package. When I arrived in Istanbul, Dr Aygın was not there.That was the only reason I had agreed to travel. I immediately cancelled, since the clinic failed to deliver what was promised. Afterwards, the clinic tried to re-label my deposit as “hotel and transport costs” and even attempted to increase the package price for a later date. This is a classic bait-and-switch: advertise a personal procedure under Dr Aygın’s name, take a deposit, then replace him with someone else while keeping your money. It’s a high-volume operation trading on the doctor’s reputation, not a personalised medical service. Once you arrive, you realise it functions more like a factory efficient, yes, but impersonal and ethically questionable when the key promise is the doctor’s involvement. I have complete written proof: • WhatsApp messages confirming the doctor’s attendance, • the brochure and receipt showing the inclusive price, • and their later emails refusing to refund or honour the agreement. Under Turkish Consumer Protection Law 6502, this conduct breaches Articles 15, 48, and 61 misleading advertising, failure to deliver as agreed, and unfair commercial practice. The clinic told me they had “consulted their lawyers” and that “no further action” would be taken. I have since filed complaints with the Turkish Ministry of Trade, the Istanbul Consumer Arbitration Committee, and the Health Tourism Certification Authority. A full evidence-based YouTube video will soon show every screenshot, receipt, and message so people can judge for themselves. If you’re researching hair transplants in Turkey: ✅ Get everything in writing. ✅ Confirm the doctor’s actual presence on your procedure day. ✅ Never assume a famous name means you’ll see that person. This clinic uses Dr Aygın’s brand as bait to draw bookings, then runs patients through a volume system where the promises change once you’ve paid. ⚠️ BEWARE before trusting any offer that uses Dr Serkan Aygın’s name. Verify it yourself in writing, or you may lose your deposit and flights as I did. ⚠️

I have just had my second transplant hair done at the clinic of Dr. Serkan Aygin and, again, it was an amazing experience. Throughout, the treatment was sincere, professional and very comforting. The communication, guidance, and continuous support is of a high quality indeed. Although one can never go deep enough into scientific explanations and research-based details (which is something that I personally like because I am a nerd), overall care, openness, and trust that I have received far outweigh it. Whenever I could not grasp everything, I inquired once more--and I was never given less than patience, understanding, and sufficient explanation. A massive thank you to my crew Yaren, Katre, Emre, Mark, and the rest of whose names I do not want to misspell and the surgeon and his crew, who also conducted my first surgery, which I feel very content with. They are very consistent, precise, and compassionate. This clinic provides only the highest quality of results, yet, they also focus on one more important point the role of the patient. It is important to take medications, provide guidelines as well as carry out appropriate blood work after the post-op care to aid in the general growth of hair. The sincere liability-driven style creates actual trust. I already make my experience public and will not be afraid to do so. I would definitely recommend the clinic of Dr. Serkan Aygin and his superior staff, and I will certainly continue to sing the praises.

I had my hair transplant at Dr Serkan’s Doku Clinic on 12/28/2025 after extensive research comparing reviews and pricing. They were mid-range cost-wise with thousands of reviews, which ultimately led me to choose them—and overall, I believe I made a good decision. Communication before the trip was excellent. Mey handled scheduling smoothly, and once in Istanbul, Emre was outstanding—very attentive and helpful. The logistics, transportation, and coordination were extremely well organized. The clinic itself is clean, modern, and professional. My procedure involved about 5,600 grafts and lasted nearly 12 hours. The surgical team was excellent before, during, and after the operation. While local anesthesia did involve some discomfort, the team was responsive and supportive throughout. Food and post-op instructions were provided, and overall care was solid. A few areas could be improved: blood test and 3D imaging results were never discussed, which felt like a missed opportunity for transparency. Post-op care requirements were more extensive than I expected, and I wish those details had been shared earlier. Also, for patients traveling alone, having food in the hotel ahead of time is strongly recommended. Two weeks post-op, I’m very satisfied with the team and overall experience and now waiting to see the results. It’s a big commitment—painful, expensive, and intense—but Doku Clinic delivers a professional and well-run experience.

The service was very professional. From the initial consultation to the aftercare. The doctors and assistants couldn’t have been friendlier and I always felt in safe hands. My assistant helped with issues at all times of the day via WhatsApp which was comforting. The hotel I stayed at was within walking distance of the clinic, although I was still picked up each time which was nice. The only thing I think could have been better, is better communication. When I arrived the morning of my procedure. My translator was there and greeted me but didn’t assist with the early stages. The staff that assisted me couldn’t speak English, so I found this a bit overwhelming as I didn’t quite know what was going on. The day itself is a long day, too, so I think something like the TV being on or me having something to concentrate on would’ve helped time pass and distract me. All in all though I’m happy with the service I recieved from Dr Serkan’s Clinic.

From the very beginning to airport drop-off everyone was so kind and professional. I was not the easiest patient to deal with but the clinic staff were amazing especially on surgery day. I whole heartedly recommend this clinic and would certainly come back for anything I require in future. If you're also travelling for tourism you can safely leave any apprehension at the clinic entrance and trust that you will be in safe hands. The only thing I didn't like was being pressured to leave a review before leaving. I removed that and wrote this one a couple of days after leaving because they are a truly exceptional clinic worthy of a positive review. As for the results, only time will tell, along with post-op guidance... P.S. if you're especially fussy about accommodation do some research before visiting.

I had a DHI hair transplant at Dr Serkan Aygin Clinic and the overall experience was very professional from start to finish. The coordination, transfers, clinic facilities and medical team were all well organised and reassuring. The team took a sensible, conservative approach by prioritising the frontal area first, which was explained clearly and aligned with my expectations. Communication was good throughout, with translators available at every stage, and post-op instructions and medication were clearly provided. It’s obviously early days for results, but based on the process, care and professionalism, I’m confident in the decision and would recommend the clinic to others considering a transplant.

From my initial online inquiry to my surgery and post op care, Dr Serkan Aydin n his team simply proved to be par excellence. The whole experience is smooth and works like a super well oiled process. Their attention to detail, care, patient centricity and superb service with pure focus on providing top notch treatment n care are world class. Here I would like to specifically mention Dr Serkan’s following team members Patient coordinators: Emiray P, Emre S, Operation Supervisor: Deniz and all techs specially Summeye Chief Nurse: Nadir I would highly recommend the clinic to all who are struggling with hair loss. I so loved the personal art collection of Dr Serkan and display throughout the facilities.

Recehtly had a hair transplant at this Clinic. Very professional service, English translator/ assistant was arranged and was in constant contact with you. Pick and drop offs from Hotel to Clinic to Airport were arranged with no issues Technicians completing the procedure were friendly and showed good experience, Doctor visited to check in and complete drawing the graft areas and check the operation plan. Additional grafts were extracted for no extra costs which is a plus. Clear instructions on post op care and cleaning / washing instructions were provided - giving you confidence the clinic cares about your aftercare. Too early to tell for actual results.

I had a top-tier experience from start to finish. Even though I traveled alone, I was warmly welcomed by Berk Cetin and Asli, who guided me through the whole process and were always by my side, which made my trip very smooth. All transfers were arranged, I was given a sandwich during the procedure, and even dinner afterward, even though the procedure ended quite late, around 11 pm. After the procedure, I received plenty of information on how to take care of myself once I got back home, including all the necessary medication for the first few days and a full hygiene kit. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

I’ve spent over 6 months researching hair transplants. I’ve been back and forth from country to country, from Dr to Dr & from various price points to crazy numbers… I have literally spent days on this and all roads lead back to Dr Serkin. Post the experience I can now say I hit the jackpot 🎰! Every aspect from Inital communication, to pre inductions, planning and procedure was 5 ⭐️’s. If I could give 6 ⭐️ I would. I never leave reviews, but in this case I felt that I owed it to the staff to let the world know what an amazing experience I had along with two of my best friends. Dr. Serkan and his staff were absolutely amazing. From the cleanliness of the office, to the dedication of all the staff members, it made me feel comfortable and confident about what we were about to endure. All I can stay is that I couldn't be happier with the decision we made to fly across the world from Los Angeles to have our hair transplant done with his team. The quality of work is unbelievable!
