Dr. Álvaro Correa Jaramillo is an otorhinolaryngologist and facial surgeon in Medellín whose practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty and to surgical facial beautification and rejuvenation. He sees patients in consulting room 1103 of the Edificio Medical (Torre Medical) on Calle 7 in El Poblado. His website states that all of his procedures are performed at IQ InterQuirófanos, a surgical clinic that occupies floors of the same building and of the neighbouring Torre Intermédica.
He graduated in medicine from Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, specialised in otorhinolaryngology at Universidad de Antioquia in Medellín and holds a diploma in rhinology, paranasal sinuses and facial plastic surgery from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). The Sociedad Colombiana de Cirugía Plástica Facial y Rinología (SCCPFR) lists him as a full member, and his website describes him as one of its founding members. He also states membership of the Colombian otorhinolaryngology association (ACORL) and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His website describes more than 30 years in practice and a particular interest in push-down rhinoplasty, a technique intended to limit trauma to the nasal dorsum and preserve nasal structures.
IQ InterQuirófanos opened in 2006. It states that it has 13 operating rooms, recovery areas with 14 stretchers in Torre Intermédica and 12 in Torre Medical, hospitalisation rooms connected to a central monitoring station, a sterilisation unit and an in-house pharmacy service (IQ Pharma). The clinic announced Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation following an on-site survey in December 2024. For patients travelling from abroad, IQ offers help with travel and accommodation through partner companies, translation services and virtual pre- and post-operative consultations, and its waiting rooms display information in Spanish and English.

Surgery on a nose that has already been operated on, to correct the dorsum, tip, size or nasal function. His website recommends waiting at least one year after the previous operation.
A preservation technique in which the nasal dorsum is lowered rather than removed, intended to limit trauma to the dorsum and keep nasal structures intact. His website describes it as particularly useful for large dorsal humps.
Surgery to reshape the nose and improve nasal breathing, addressing the dorsum, tip, width and proportion to the face as well as problems such as nasal obstruction. His website describes closed approaches through the nostrils and open approaches through a small W-shaped incision on the columella, usually under general anaesthesia.
Surgery to straighten a nose that is deviated or flattened, often after trauma; his website notes that such deviations frequently also cause breathing problems.
Techniques for noses with thicker skin, including raising the dorsum, narrowing the nasal bones and base, adding paranasal and premaxillary volume and supporting the tip. His website notes that the final shape in thick skin can take 8 to 12 months to settle.
Correction of a wide, drooping or poorly defined tip, columella and naso-labial angle problems, and narrowing of a wide nasal base by trimming the alar base to improve nostril symmetry.
Surgical reshaping of the bulbous, reddened nasal skin caused by sebaceous gland overgrowth in rhinophyma, a form of rosacea that in advanced cases can also obstruct breathing.
