Prof. Dr. Murat Songu's practice, registered with the Turkish Ministry of Health as Prof. Dr. Murat Songu Muayenehanesi, is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) clinic on Vasıf Çınar Bulvarı in the Alsancak area of Konak, İzmir. It focuses on rhinoplasty and nasal airway surgery. Its other listed procedures are otoplasty, lip lift and turbinate (concha) surgery.
Dr. Songu was born in İzmir in 1976. He studied medicine at Ege University and completed his otorhinolaryngology residency at Celal Bayar University. In 2005 and 2006 he was a clinical observer in rhinology, otology and skull-base surgery at the University Hospital of Bordeaux and the Institut Georges Portmann in Bordeaux, France. From 2008 he worked as an ENT specialist in İzmir, and in 2010 he joined the teaching staff of the ENT clinic at İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. He became an associate professor of otorhinolaryngology in 2014 and spent February to May 2016 in the robotic surgery unit of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center on a Turkish ENT society scholarship. He became a professor in April 2021.
His website lists more than 100 national and international scientific publications, 17 book chapters, and Turkish ENT and Head and Neck Surgery Board certificates from 2014 and 2019. It describes a process in which patient advisors handle first contact, consultations include a digital nose simulation, and check-ups continue for one year after surgery. The practice holds an International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate (no. ST-3749) from the Ministry of Health.
