Anadolu Medical Center is a private general hospital in Gebze, Kocaeli, about 65 km south-east of central Istanbul. It was opened in 2005 by the Anadolu Foundation, founded by Kamil Yazıcı and İzzet Özilhan, and stands on about 188,000 m² of land with 50,000 m² of indoor space and 201 beds. The hospital has held Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation since 2007 and has a strategic collaboration agreement with Johns Hopkins Medicine International, signed in 2002, covering education, clinical quality and patient safety programmes.
The In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Department (Tüp Bebek Merkezi) has been directed since early 2020 by Prof. Dr. Tayfun Kutlu, an obstetrician-gynaecologist who previously worked at the IVF centre of Istanbul's Zeynep Kamil Obstetrics and Pediatrics Training and Research Hospital. Urologist Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Adayener is also listed in the department for male infertility. The department offers ovulation monitoring, intrauterine insemination, IVF, ICSI and IMSI, blastocyst transfer, assisted hatching, oocyte activation, vitrification of eggs and embryos and preimplantation genetic testing. For men with no sperm in the semen, sperm is retrieved surgically by TESA, TESE or micro-TESE. In line with Turkish regulations, treatment is carried out using the couple's own eggs and sperm.
The hospital's International Services Department plans treatment and appointments for patients from abroad and guides patients and their relatives during the visit. On request it coordinates appointments, travel and accommodation, and it handles medical second-opinion reviews of earlier tests. Patients and companions can stay at the Anadolu Titanic Comfort Hotel on the hospital grounds. The hospital is about 18 km by road from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW).

Prof. Dr. Tayfun Kutlu has directed the IVF Center at Anadolu Medical Center since early 2020. From 2000 to 2019 he worked at the IVF Center of Istanbul's Zeynep Kamil Obstetrics and Pediatrics Training and Research Hospital, where he became IVF Center Unit Supervisor in 2014, and he received the title of Associate Professor in 2017. He graduated from Istanbul University's Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1991 and completed his obstetrics and gynaecology residency at Zeynep Kamil in 1996.

The ovaries are stimulated and monitored by ultrasound, eggs are collected and combined with the partner's sperm in the laboratory, and the resulting embryos are cultured and transferred to the uterus.
Eggs or embryos are frozen by vitrification in liquid nitrogen at −196 °C for later use, including egg freezing before treatments such as chemotherapy that can damage fertility.
A processed sperm sample from the male partner is placed in the uterus at the time of ovulation, after the woman's eggs have been stimulated with hormones.
Ultrasound monitoring of the ovaries during a cycle, with tablet or injection medication to stimulate ovulation where needed, so that intercourse can be timed.
