Liv Hospital Ulus is a private multidisciplinary hospital in the Ulus neighbourhood of Beşiktaş, on the European side of Istanbul. It opened in 2013 as the first hospital of the Liv Hospital brand, which belongs to the MLP Care group alongside the Medical Park hospitals. MLP Care lists the Ulus building at 28,680 m². The hospital states that it received Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation shortly after opening.
The IVF centre (Tüp Bebek Merkezi) is a unit inside the general hospital. Liv describes it as a unit where female and male reproductive health are assessed together, and where treatment is planned jointly by the clinical team and the embryology laboratory, with urology/andrology and medical genetics involved when needed. Depending on the first assessment, the plan may be ovulation tracking, intrauterine insemination, IVF or ICSI, followed by egg retrieval and embryo transfer. Embryos, eggs or sperm can be frozen where medically indicated and permitted by Turkish regulations, and embryo genetic testing is considered in specific situations such as a known inherited condition. Liv's international IVF page also describes the use of time-lapse embryo incubation (Embryoscope) and high-magnification sperm selection (IMSI).
Liv's international page notes that, under Turkish law, IVF treatment is available only to legally married couples. Patients travelling from abroad are supported by the hospital's International Guest Center, whose staff includes interpreters, international patient coordinators and physicians assigned to follow up international patients. Standard services listed by the hospital include appointment scheduling, translation of medical records into English, transfers from Istanbul and Sabiha Gökçen airports, and visa support.
